Last major revision: 06/19/99 Oh well, here I go again! I got the Alien Legacy box set and ended up watching all 4 movies tonight. @_@ I know a couple others of you guys are working on GW/Alien crossovers, too, but here's a teaser for my particular variation. Enjoy! Oh yeah... comments always welcome! ====================================================================== BASIC INSTINCT: A Gundam Wing/Aliens crossover fic by Madamhydra ====================================================================== (teaser) ====================================================================== --------------- Short Disclaimer: (Full Disclaimers at the end) Gundam Wing and Aliens are copyrighted by their respective creators and all distributors of their work. That idiot must have gotten captured!) "Yuy! I know you're listening. I have something rather important to show you. Switch your video pickups to this frequency." Heero glared as the image of a white-coated man appeared on screen. The stranger -- apparently some sort of scientist -- was a late middle-aged man with a lean, bony body and a narrow, austere face. "Ah. Much better. I'm Doctor Farren. You and your comrades took something from me two days ago. I want it back." Heero's cobalt eyes narrowed. The scientist had to be referring to the convoy he and Trowa had ambushed recently. Under orders, the pilots had removed certain specified portions of the cargo before destroying the remainder. "Why should I?" came the Wing pilot's cold, flat reply. "To save your braided friend from a fate worse than death, perhaps?" The picture shifted as the camera panned to the scientist's left. Heero could now see through a large thick window and into the small white room beyond. Suddenly the door to the window opened and Duo was roughly flung into the chamber. Although his expression remained unchanged, the Wing pilot was profoundly relieved to see that, with the exception of a few bruises, his lover seemed unharmed. He watched as Duo scrambled to his feet and glared through the clear pane at the scientist standing on the other side. The Deathscythe pilot abruptly whirled around just in time to see something strange being shoved through a small panel at the opposite end of the small room. The sickly green, oval-shaped object was just over two feet high. Its surface was covered with small bumps, except for the top which had a distinct ridge-like protrusion, and glistened unevenly as if coated with some slimy substance. As Heero watched Duo warily back away, the odd protrusions at the top of the object suddenly split and folded back like the petals of some obscene flower. From that particular camera angle, Heero could get a clear view of the now exposed core which was slowly pulsing. It was only at that point that Heero realized what the mysterious oval object had to be. It was some sort of *egg*. "DUO!!! DON'T...!!!" Heero shouted, his hands clenching on the Gundam's controls, as he watched Duo take a cautious step forward. But his attempt to warn the braided pilot was futile. There was no way for Duo to hear him. The throbbing core of the egg exploded into motion and headed straight for Duo's face in a sickly yellow blur of long, spindly legs. But Duo wasn't a Gundam pilot for nothing. Despite the thing's speed, the Deathscythe pilot managed to duck and swat it aside. His attacker, now revealed as some spidery creature with a multitude of legs and a long whip-like tail, landed on the floor, froze an instant, then scuttled with unbelievable speed toward Duo who had flattened himself against the far wall. This time, Duo's desperate attempt to fend off the spindly creature failed. It managed to wrap its muscular tail around the braided pilot's throat and was now attempting to encircle Duo's head with its legs. Duo struggled to pry the creature off, but his lack of success indicated that the monstrosity was incredibly strong. Heero could only watch helplessly as Duo began to weaken as the tail visibly constricted around his throat. The camera zoomed in relentlessly as the braided pilot's grip finally faltered. Heero caught one last glimpse of his lover's wide, horrified violet gaze, then the sickly yellow creature clamped itself to Duo's face. For a few more seconds, the Deathscythe pilot continued to thrash helplessly on the floor, clawing futilely at the beast, then his body went frighteningly limp. The camera pulled back and gave Heero a nice long look of his lover's still body, then the scientist stepped back into the picture. Heero was nearly beyond speech at that moment. His body shook and his lips curled back from his bared teeth in an expression of pure rage. "Don't be stupid, Yuy. Now listen to me. If that creature's not removed soon, your friend here will die a very slow and excruciating death. I'm the only one who knows how to perform the removal without killing the victim. My proposal is simple. Return the items you stole two days ago and I'll save Maxwell's life." The scientist smiled malevolently. "I know that he's important to you, so make sure you're back here within six hours. Otherwise, I can't make any promises about his survival." His vision obscured by a blood red haze, Heero managed a curt nod of acknowledgment and cut the video connection. -------------------------------------------- Doctor Farren smiled as he turned his attention back to the unconscious Maxwell. The boy was doomed... but Heero Yuy didn't know that. Even as he watched, an alien embryo was being implanted in Maxwell's body. And once implanted, nothing could stop the embryo from growing and eventually ripping its way out of the host's body. The only way to kill the alien parasite was to kill the host... and sometimes, even *that* didn't work. Although the doctor was curious to see if having a superior host produced a superior alien creature, the braided pilot was actually only the bait to get Heero Yuy to this complex and into Farren's hands. It had taken a great deal of time and effort to find the appropriate lever to use against Yuy and to set up this entire operation, but the data he'd obtain would be worth it. It would be the culmination of over sixteen years of patient research.... If Treize Khushrenada had problems with Mobile Dolls, what would the nobleman think of Doctor Farren's little project? The thought made the scientist chuckle. Doctor Farren then turned his attention to a neighboring cell. The viewing window for that cell was a foot thick... and for good reason. He peered through the impenetrable window at the huge alien creature imprisoned within. The beast, towering over twelve feet high and restrained with massive shackles, tossed its great crested head and hissed furiously at him. As he stared at the alien queen, he murmured, "It's been a long time, hasn't it, my beauty? I know how frustrating it is, to be prevented from pursuing one's destiny. You were born and bred to procreate... to be a queen with thousands, maybe millions of children, but here I've limited you to only a paltry handful of offspring. It's no wonder that you hate me. But you see, I have a destiny, too." The scientist began to pace back and forth in front of the window, gesturing expansively. "In this day and age, mankind has been come weak and dependent on machines. We depend on machines to feed us, clothes, fight for us.... We expect machines to preserve lives and expect other machines to take lives. Too many fools have forgotten that it is man who is the most dangerous weapon of all. But I will show them just how wrong they are. With your invaluable help, my dear, I've created...." Doctor Farren smiled slowly, a triumphant grin that slowly spread across his thin face. "....the perfect soldier!" Yes, it was about time for Heero Yuy to meet his... mother. -------------------------------------------- madamhydra@aol.com /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/:E http://www.geocities.com/~madamhydra/ -------------------------------------------- ===================================================================== The Full Disclaimer Shin Kidousenki Gundam Wing is trademark and property of Sunrise, Bandai, Sotsu Agency, and associated parties.
